Natural gas storage and transportation methods refer to the storage and transportation methods of natural gas. As early as 900 A.D., natural gas was used in my country, and bamboo pipes were used for transportation. At present, pipeline transportation is still the main method, but the pipeline material is steel pipe or ceramic pipe. On land, high-pressure natural gas is transported through pipelines, which is not only large-scale, but also economical and efficient. The specific method is to carry out preliminary purification, measurement and compression of the natural gas collected from natural gas wells, and then transport it to urban industrial areas and residential areas through trunk gas pipelines. The working pressure of the trunk air pipeline is 55-75 kg/cm2. In the sub-pipelines in the city, the high pressure is 6-12 kg/cm2, the medium pressure is 0.05-3 kg/cm2, and the low pressure is ≤0.02 kg/cm2. Long-distance marine pipeline transportation technology has begun to attract people's attention.
Non-pipeline transportation involves compressing, cooling, and liquefying natural gas at a temperature lower than -160°C, then storing it in a special high-pressure container, and then transporting it by car or ship. As long as storage and transportation are combined and coordinated well, higher storage and transportation efficiency can be achieved. When the users of natural gas are relatively scattered, it is more reasonable to use vehicles and ships for transportation; when the users of natural gas are relatively concentrated and the consumption is large, it is more reasonable to use pipeline transportation.
